Our approach

Personal, sensitive care

Our approach is to offer very personal and sensitive care, with patient comfort a high priority. We pride ourselves in good communication with you and effective solutions.

The group of specialists meets to discuss each condition and every patient's situation, then decides together which method is most suited to that individual's problem.

A common problem

Nearly 25%

of women experience pelvic floor problems. They can affect a woman's ability to sit for long periods of time, enjoy sexual activity, travel long distances in a car or participate in everyday tasks. The pelvic floor supports and affects many important parts of the lower body including the vagina, bladder, rectum and uterus. When it becomes too weak or too tight, it can lead to further medical issues.

Conditions

What we treat

Urinary incontinence

Urinary incontinence occurs when the pelvic floor muscles become too weak, causing urine to leak involuntarily. It can happen to anyone, but is most common in women who have given birth and women over 50.

Pelvic floor dysfunction

A condition where the pelvic floor muscles behave abnormally. Women whose pelvic floor muscles are too tight may experience extreme pain, including pain with intercourse.

Overactive bladder

A sudden, uncontrollable urge to urinate, and urinating often. One cause of this condition is weak pelvic floor muscles.

Prolapse

A drop in the female pelvic organs due to a weak pelvic floor. This condition can be corrected through surgery or physiotherapy.

Obstructive defecation

Constipation as a result of abnormal anatomy at the anorectal level (rectocele), assessed with dedicated imaging and muscle testing.

Vulvodynia

A pelvic nerve pain condition that often goes hand-in-hand with pelvic floor dysfunction. When pelvic muscles become too tight, women may experience stabbing or shooting nerve pain.
